Our Anniversary

june 25th marked our 9 year anniversary! crazy to think next year we'll be married a decade! it doesn't feel like it...after 9 years of marriage, 4 kids, 6 moves, planting a church and so many other adventures, there's never a dull moment being married to this incredible man. i love him with all my heart and i'm so grateful to the Lord for making us one.

i heard ace hotel opened up in downtown la and I was interested in visiting. i read reviews and was intrigued. i yelped our experience. fun for a first time, nothing more. the brass knobs were my fav! all the people partying near the pool was not cool though.

thankful we got to spend time together... cherished times with my love.

Moon Jelly

I realized I never posted pictures of our last family vacation. Last year we played with the idea of going to San Francisco, but we decided not to--It was nice staying home and galavanting around here. One draw back was planning. Since we weren't out of town and unfamiliar with the area, there wasn't any pressure to have an agenda...I'd get lazy : /

On our beach trips, we enjoyed the sun, the sand, and especially the kids loving everything about the sea! On one occasion, we stumbled upon moon jellies on shore! Lots of them! We decided to take one home, dissect it and make it a homeschool lesson on science. We printed diagrams, read a book on it, and watched videos. The kids enjoyed it and it was nice for this little guy, to just...fall on our sandy lap :)

Before and After

I love love love Rock's long hair! I also love my hubby, so when he would ask if we can cut Rock's hair, I gave in because I understood where PJ was coming from, like Rock's hair in his face. I didn't mind it, but Rock did. Soooo mommy lost, and I was fine with it. PJ and I came to the conclusion that Rock will get one hair cut each year, during the warm months, then I get to vast in his long locks! Although, I don't like the road getting there, because his hair does weird, not so nice things, but I just keep the end goal in mind...Til next year Rock!

Even the barber didn't want to cut it! He and I both thought it was cool...

Capsule, our local, walking distance, neighborhood barbershop...They ooze of hip and cool. You can tell by their trendy shop atmosphere and their famous clientele

Street Art

It's been a while since I posted any street art, but don't get me wrong, here in L.A. there's tons! I've just been lazy, or I didn't have my camera.

Juicy...

Burger. PJ and I like good burgers. We try to find new spots that make us salivate when we hear their names.

PJ and I have a few on our list (8 oz., The Apple Pan). Some are chains, some are unique spots. Juicy Burger is one of my favorite burger chain spot. It's very yummy, but not the best. It sure is juicy though. I have yet to try an amazing mushroom burger! The closest is Red Robin, but there's gotta be a better one somewhere out there!

California Science Center

Since our camera is broken :( I'm updating past endeavors that I had forgotten about!

In April we toured the California Science Center and we brought along our young neighbor :) Everything is hands on, which is great! But before heading there, we inspected USC's pretty, red brick campus.

Our city in the background... We love you L.A.
